Architectural Board of Review

Given the keen interest in the appearance of our community and the previous work done on design guidelines for the Town of Huntsville, should a committee be struck to come up with more definitive guidelines for buildings and site works in our community?

My understanding of the previous Strategic Plan is that it recommended that no building be above the tree line. Yet every condo that has been built or proposed exceeds that height by at least two floors. If people wanted to live in a city with tall buildings they could move to Barrie, Brampton, Mississauga or Toronto. But people in Muskoka want to live in an area of trees surrounding buildings that are no higher than our tallest tree. Vernon View from wherever you look in town and even out in the middle of Lake Vernon is a true eyesore!! Please reconsider your plans and only allow buildings of three stories surrounded by landscaping that includes mature trees to be built in our town.
Thank you.
