A corporate sponsored event such as "Red Bull crashed ice" in Quebec city. They draw 100,000+ spectators in the dead of winter.

Right down Main St. would be most exciting (apparently we had most of the ice we needed on Sunday night!!) but Rockridge or Hidden Valley may also be venue's.
Bringing in Red Bull would mean not having to re-invent the wheel.
